Uses:

Pain, menstrual pain and inflammation.Ibuprofen is used to provide relief from mild, moderate and severe pain, and reduction of fever and swelling. 

Side Effects:

The extensive use of ibuprofen may cause stomach upset and bleeding, skin rash, thrombocytopenia (low platelet count) and rarely aseptic meningitis (inflammation of membrane covering the brain) If you experience any of these symptoms please consult your doctor. Other side effects include nausea, flatulence, vomiting, headache and infusion site pain.

When not to use:

risk cannot be outruled while taking the medication during pregnancy.Please consult your doctor before taking ibuprofen. Please avoid consuming alcohol when taking this medicine.
